LAGRANGE -- Colleen Latham Newman, 82, died Saturday at her residence.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Newman will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.
A native of Bath, she was the daughter of the late Cleophys Bryan and Effie Cutler Latham and the widow of Robert Gerald Newman.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Russomanno and husband, Larry, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; sons, Craig Newman and wife, Nicole, of Burbank, Calif., and Lewis Newman and wife, Debra, of LaGrange; sisters, Daisy Gibson of Greensboro and Dorothy Sparrow of Bath; grandchildren, Mark, Casey, Jack, Robin, Lyndsay and Kaitlin Newman; and a special caregiver, Helen Cogdell.
Mrs. Newman was preceded in death, in addition to her parents and husband, by a son, Chris Newman.
