Died Dec. 1, 2009
Phyllis Dianne McCraw Sides went to be with her Heavenly Father Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A service to remember Phyllis will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lavonia Baptist Church in Mooresboro, with Dr. Alfred Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She was an Air Force wife and moved with her family many times and made a home for them wherever they went.
Phyllis began the career she enjoyed immensely as a cosmetologist in 1970 and, after moving to Goldsboro, she opened her own salon, The House of Styles, which she owned and operated until her stroke.
Phyllis was a member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Ina Mae McCraw; her brother, Herman McCraw and wife, Linda; her sister, Judy Hug and husband, Larry; her daughters, Angie Sugg, Kelly McKnight and husband, Doyle, and Cindy Kirkland and husband, Bill; her son, Steve Sides and wife, Lottie; her grandchildren, Brad Sugg, Lezlie Nassef, Kristin Geller, Lauren Kirkland, Erin Hitt, Drew McKnight, Jack Sides, Neil Sides and Sybil Sides; and her great-grandchildren, Isabella Geller, Jackson Sugg, Raychel Nassef and Collin Sugg.
She was preceded in death by her father, Loyd McCraw.
Phyllis' family would like to thank her friends and caregivers for the love and support they have given to her over the years.

The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 7 at Seymour Funeral Home.
