Three people were charged with attempted murder following a shooting that sent a man to the hospital with serious injuries Monday.
Taylor Lawrence Davis, 30, 103 S. Aycock St., Fremont; Kimberly Rose Pate, 30, 305 Pate Farm Lane, Pikeville; and Jason Samuel Camaioni, 38, 215 Wesley Drive, were each charged with felony attempted murder and felony attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, said Maj. Richard Lewis, with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Just before 8 a.m., sheriff deputies responded to a shooting at Carraway Creek Estates located just off Genoa Road in Dudley and found Alphonso Campbell, 22, shot multiple times.
While responding to the scene, deputies spotted a vehicle that matched the description of a vehicle connected to the alleged shooting on Pecan Road, Lewis said.
Camaioni, the driver of the vehicle, and passengers Davis and Pate were arrested and charged in the incident.
Campbell was shot in the arm and side and was transported to Wayne UNC Health Care and later to Vidant Medical Center, in Greenville.
Campbell was reportedly in stable but critical condition Monday evening, Lewis said.
Pate and Camaioni were booked in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $350,000 secured bond, and Davis was booked under a $650,000 secured bond.
Lewis said the victim and Pate knew each other but declined to provide further details.
The shooting remains under investigation.
