Four arrested on drug charges

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement team arrested four people on drug charges during a traffic stop along N.C. 55 East in Seven Springs Monday.
During the search of the vehicle, deputies located two handguns, one which was reported stolen from a location in Wayne County. Deputies also located oxycodone and methamphetamine, along with various items of drug paraphernalia.
The following individuals were arrested and charged:
• Kevin Michael Sauls, 29, of 818 Herman St., was charged with two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, two counts of trafficking in opiates, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sauls was booked in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $825,000 secured bond.
• James Timothy Sauls, 30, of 4478 U.S. 117 in Dudley, was charged with two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, two counts of trafficking in opiates, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sauls was booked in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $800,000 secured bond.
• William Joseph Mitchell, 25, of 1535 Heather Lane in Kinston, was charged with two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, two counts of trafficking opiates, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mitchell was booked in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $205,000 secured bond.
• Heather Dawn Nelson, 29, of 6078 Davis Hardy Road in Seven Springs, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, carrying a concealed gun, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Nelson was booked in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $4,000 secured bond.
