Wayne County Public Schools cancel after school programs today

Wayne County Public Schools has canceled all after school programs today due to the threat of inclement weather, according to a WCPS press release.
All athletic practices and competitions, 4-H programs, tutoring, staff meetings, PTA meetings, parents nights and other school-sponsored events are canceled. School district spokesman Ken Derksen said that WCPS is still monitoring the weather, but no further updates were available.
Wayne County is under a winter weather advisory until 10 p.m., with possible snow accumulation of less than an inch.
