Goldsboro police are investigating a Christmas Day robbery at the Speedway located at the corner of U.S. 70 and Claridge Nursery Road.

A police report said a white woman walked into the store around 3:30 a.m. Monday.

She then reportedly brandished a pocket knife and demanded money from the employee working.

The report said the woman got the money and she fled the scene.

Capt. Trey Ball with the Goldsboro Police Department said the woman had her face covered, but no further information on the suspect was available.

The report did not say how much money she got away with, and Ball said he was unable to release any further information.

There were no injuries reported and the woman fled the area on foot.
