Two brothers are facing charges after their Sudafed purchase history led to one of their homes being raided Dec. 4.
Daniel Michael Stocks, 44, of 109 Zeno Lane, and Christopher Allen Stocks, 25, of 107 Zeno Lane, are both charged with six counts of possession of a methamphetamine precursor and one count of manufacturing methamphetamine.
Detective Sgt. Chuck Shaeffer said when officers raided the home at 109 Zeno Lane on Dec. 4, nobody was home and they found an inactive meth lab inside.
A look at the men's Sudafed purchase history sparked an investigation, Shaeffer said, which led to the search warrant being served on the elder Stocks' home earlier this month.
A press release said officers found items and precursor chemicals inside the home consistent with methamphetamine manufacturing.
Daniel Stocks was arrested Monday and put in the Wayne County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
Christopher Stocks was arrested earlier this week also, and even though he was charged with the same offenses as the elder Stocks, he was given a $175,000 secured bond and put in the Wayne County Jail.
Shaeffer said he did not know why the bonds were different, but said the two men went in front of different magistrates after being arrested.
