Mount Olive man charged for possession of meth

A Mount Olive man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office's Aggressive Criminal Enforcement team.
As a result of an investigation by deputies, Garett Sterling Sutton, 23, of 309 E. Station St., Mount Olive, was charged with possession of methamphetamine .
He was placed under a $ 2,000 secured bond
Deputies were patrolling the area of Steven Church Road located in the southern portion of Wayne County Sunday when they stopped a vehicle for a safe movement violation.
During the course of the traffic stop deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle and the occupants of the vehicle.
Upon searching the occupants, deputies located methamphetamine on Sutton, who was a passenger in the vehicle.
