Man is robbed and pistol whipped in his home in Dudley

A 35-year-old man was pistol-whipped and robbed when he got home from work Thursday night.
A report filed with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said the man arrived at his home in the 100 block of Mitchell Road in Dudley just before midnight.
He opened his door and found three black men he had never seen before sitting in his living room.
They then hit him in the head with a pistol, and the men told the victim if he did not give them money they would kill him.
The suspects stole $1,500 from the man.
The man sustained a large laceration to the side of his head from the assault and robbery.
He was taken to Wayne UNC Health Care for further treatment.
There is no further description of the suspects at this time.
