Bargain-hunters, get ready.
The annual jewelry and accessories sale at Wayne Memorial Hospital is coming up later this month.
It started out as a morale booster for staff, but has spread in popularity to the community and beyond, said Donna Archer, Wayne UNC Health Care director of volunteer services.
"It features a vendor who goes around to large facilities, like hospitals and schools," she said. "They have been coming here for about eight years and it's everybody's favorite sale."
This year's sale will be held in the hospital auditorium on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 31 to Nov. 1. Tuesday hours will be 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., with Wednesday hours running from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. The vendor, Masquerade, has a large following on Facebook, Archer said, and has been a popular draw from miles around.
Mainly because everything is $5, she said.
The main items offered are jewelry, but the sale also features scarves, manicure sets, wallets and leggings. Sponsored by the Sunshine Corner Gift Shop in the hospital, patrons can pay by cash and credit/debit cards. Hospital staff can also make purchases by payroll deduction.
