An investigation turned up nearly $70,000 worth of drugs in two properties on the 400 block of Lime Street Wednesday.

One man is in custody on a $1 million bond facing drug trafficking charges.

According to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office news release, a drug trafficking investigation ended Wednesday with a search warrant for the two Lime Street properties. When officers arrived at the properties, they found Antonio Javon Parker, 28, of 429 Frank St., who attempted to flee, said sheriff's office Maj. Richard Lewis.

"He fled when the officers arrived, but he was caught before getting off of the properties," Lewis said.

Parker was the focus of the investigation, according to the release. Lewis said the investigation had been going on for "an extended period of time."

During the ensuing search, officers located approximately 60 grams of heroin, three ounces of crystal methamphetamine and four ounces of high grade marijuana, with a total combined street value of nearly $70,000. The amount of heroin seized was equivalent to 3,000 individual doses, according to the release.

Lewis said that the properties were not owned by Parker, but by a third party who allowed Parker to use them.

Parker is charged with Level III trafficking in heroin, Level I trafficking in methamphetamine, and possession with intent to sell/distribute marijuana.
