Visitation restrictions lifted at Wayne UNC Health Care

Effective Tuesday, visitation restrictions due to flu have been discontinued at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Flu cases have decreased significantly throughout the and in Wayne County during the last two weeks, hospital officials said. The hospital's infection control team will continue to monitor flu rates both locally and statewide and will report any significant change.
Hospital officials said they appreciate the public's cooperation while the restrictions were in effect.
While such restrictions may be inconvenient they are always put in place in the interest of patient, teammate and visitor safety, the officials said.
