Man charged with heroin trafficking, gun possession

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office drug unit investigated a Dudley man Wednesday and found 13 grams of heroin valued at $13,000 at his home.

According to a press release, the sheriff's office along with the Goldsboro Police Department drug unit and the Wayne County SWAT Team served warrants on Quinton Dobson, 42, of 107 Evelyn Circle in Dudley, for the sale of illegal narcotics.

Upon serving warrants, officers discovered the large amount of heroin along with 28 grams of marijuana valued at $420, a .40 caliber handgun and drug paraphernalia items in Dobson's possession.

Dobson turned himself in, according to the release.

He is charged with trafficking in heroin, possession of a firearm by a felon, maintaining a dwelling, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dobson was placed in the Wayne County jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
