Authorities seek information in 2016 shooting death

On Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at approximately 1:10 a.m., officers of the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 100 block of Astor Court.
Once officers arrived on scene they found the victim, Shai Valentine, a 21-year-old black man of Goldsboro on the ground unresponsive.
EMS responded and the victim was pronounced deceased.
