Authorities seek information in 2016 shooting death

On Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at approximately 1:10 a.m., officers of the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 100 block of Astor Court.
Once officers arrived on scene they found the victim, Shai Valentine, a 21-year-old black man of Goldsboro on the ground unresponsive.
EMS responded and the victim was pronounced deceased.
Shot Spotter did alert to several shots fired in the area where the victim was located. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact investigator Cato at 919-580-4240 or call or text Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255.
