Public invited to meeting on mental health

The Mental Health Association in Wayne County will hold its annual membership meeting on Tuesday at St. Luke United Methodist Church, starting at 6 p.m.

The meeting is open to the public and reservations are not required.

The program will feature Jason Godaire and Jamie Lewis, Eastpointe Call Center staff, providing information on how to access mental health services in Wayne County. Audience questions will also be welcome.

Special guest for the evening is Freddie Pierce, local humorist and ventriloquist.

Board members will be elected and installed for two-year terms.

Light refreshments will be served. The church is located at 1608 E. Pine St. The Mental Health Association was formed in 1961 as an advocate for mental health services in Wayne County.
