Man shot in head near Eastern Wayne Middle School

Update ---- A man is recovering in Vidant Medical Center in Greenville after being shot in the back of the head in front of Eastern Wayne Middle School Friday night.
Officers responded to a call of someone being shot and found Darrin Laroche Smith, 31, Kinston, with a gunshot wound to the back of his head, according to a press release.
Authorities developed 32-year-old Terrena Sutton Graham as a suspect in the shooting and arrested her.
Graham, of 104 Hines Drive, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury and firing into an occupied vehicle.
She was put in the Wayne County Jail to await her first appearance in court Monday in lieu of a $100,000 secured bond.
Smith is expected to recover from his injuries.
Goldsboro Police Chief Mike West and Maj. Anthony Carmon did not immediately return phone calls requesting further information about the shooting.

A Goldsboro woman has been charged in the Friday night shooting of a Kinston man in front of Eastern Wayne Middle School.
Terrena Sutton Graham, 32, of Hines Drive was charged by Goldsboro police with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury and firing a weapon into an occupied vehicle. She was placed in the Wayne County Jail under $100,000 bond, pending a first appearance in court on Monday.
Darrin Laroche Smith suffered a gunshot wound to the back of the head shortly before midnight Friday. His condition was not immediately known.
