MOUNT OLIVE -- Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church recognized local heroes during its 11 a.m. worship service Sunday, Sept. 11, on the 15 anniversary of 9/11. Local heroes -- law enforcement and first-responders -- were addressed by Mount Olive Police Chief Tommy Brown, who thanked them and their families for their sacrifice each day. Lead pastor Jeff Dail spoke, and a moment of silence honored fallen heroes. Special prayer was spoken over local heroes, and they along with their families were honored with a meal after the service.
