Man arrested for drugs after traffic stop

A traffic stop on Sept. 23 resulted in a Goldsboro man being arrested for possession of heroin, cocaine and marijuana, according to a press release from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Charles Albert Stephens, 37, of 130 Vanderbilt Circle, was stopped by the Goldsboro/Wayne County REACT Team for an equipment violation on his vehicle.
According to the release, K-9 Ory was used after Stephens was stopped for a narcotics sniff of the vehicle. Ory gave officers a positive alert for narcotics being present in the vehicle, and officers subsequently searched the car Stephens was in.
The search yielded cocaine, heroin and marijuana.
Stephens was charged with felony possession of heroin, felony possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.
He was given a $4,500 secured bond and put in the Wayne County Detention Center.
