Man charged with multiple offenses

A man was charged with a multitude of crimes Thursday, according to a press release from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Christopher Lee Cantrell, 21, of 107 Southern Pine Road, was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods, five counts of obtaining property by false pretense, three counts of larceny of a motor vehicle, and three counts of possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
In June, the sheriff's office responded to a report of three stolen vehicles parked at a local garage for repairs. According to the report, it was later learned that a fourth vehicle belonging to a local gas company was also broken into.
After an investigation, the sheriff's office arrested Cantrell and placed him in the Wayne County Detention Center, where he received a $28,000 bond.
