Two people charged in jewelry theft

Two people were charged by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office in connection with theft of a large amount of jewelry frm a home near Mount Olive.
David Wayne Barbour, 55, and Aurelia Grace Demming-Heiple, 49, both of 1154 Dobbersville Road, Mount Olive, were arrested.
Barbour was charged with five counts obtaining property by false pretense, two counts felony larceny and one county felony breaking and entering. Bond was set at $55,000.
Ms. Demming-Heiple was charged with obtaining property by false pretense and possession of stolen goods. Bond was $7,500.
Investigating officers ncluded Det. Sgt. J. Griffin, assisted by 1st Sgr. T. Mozingo, Det. Sgt. M. Kabler and Det. S. Mohiser.
Some of the stolen property has been recovered, officials said.
