Danielle Stone smiles after receiving a big kiss from Teddy, one of the dogs up for adoption at the Wayne County Animal Shelter. Several of the dogs from the shelter visited the Center Street Jam Thursday to look for new families. If you are interested in adopting Teddy, a chocolate lab mix, or one of the other dogs (Look on our Facebook page for pictures of the friends Teddy brought to the party) call the animal shelter at 919-731-1439.
In addition to performances by the band Digger Foot and other fun at the last Center Street Jam of the season on Thursday, hundreds of dollars were raised for the Goldsboro News-Argus' annual Empty Stocking Fund Christmas party for needy local children.
