The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is asking for the community's help in locating a woman wanted in connection with a series of financial crimes.
Tammy Kornegay Williams, 45 -- with addresses both in Kenly and in Goldsboro -- was expected to turn herself in to investigators weeks ago, according to a sheriff's office email. So far, she has not.
Ms. Williams is a former home health care worker who was employed in Wayne and Lenoir counties. Warrants for her arrest have been issued on charges of identity theft, financial card theft and obtaining property by false pretense.
Anyone with information regarding Ms. Williams' whereabouts is asked to contact Lt. Ron Baker of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office at 919-731-1493 or 919-222-7169.
Citizens may also call Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255, or text tips to 919-222-4230. Callers can remain anonymous and information leading to a felony arrest is eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
