A Princeton police officer continues the investigation in the Thursday morning robbery of the Princeton branch of BB&T.
A video capture shows the moment when the robber entered the bank.
The Princeton Police Department has released still photographs from the security cameras inside the BB&T Bank at 102 N. Pine St., which was robbed by a single gunman Thursday.
The gunman entered the bank at 9:42 a.m., fired a single shot toward the bank's offices and proceeded to rob the tellers.
According to a press release issued late Thursday, the bullet lodged in the top of an office door.
The gunman ordered all of the employees into the lobby and had them lie down on the floor.
With the robbery complete, the gunman fled on foot, taking with him $5,723.
Witnesses say the suspect then headed northeast.
Princeton police then placed two nearby schools -- Princeton High School and Princeton Elementary -- on lockdown until they could be sure the gunman had not entered the schools.
A possible suspect vehicle was later identified. Princeton police believe the suspect might have gotten into a silver 1999 through 2002 model Chevrolet Tahoe with 22-inch chrome wheels and tinted windows.
The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet tall wearing a black ski mask, a black hoodie with a gray inseam, a black ball cap with green symbols on the front and side, black gloves, sneakers and blue jeans.
Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to contact the Princeton Police Department at 919-936-8171.
