Two arrested on cocaine charges in city

A search warrant executed by the Goldsboro Police Department Support Services Division Thursday resulted in two arrests for the sale of cocaine, according to a press release.
The arrest took place at 1209 Greenleaf St. in Goldsboro.
Rueben Knowles Armstrong, 50, is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
Kevonta King, 32, is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and maintaining a dwelling for the sale or use of a controlled substance. Her bond is set at $11,000 secured.
According to the press release, Ms. King also had an outstanding warrant for charges separate from the drug investigation.
During the search, investigators found cocaine and marijuana inside the residence, as well as materials to package and to sell the drugs.
Officers from GPD patrol shift B and the K-9 unit assisted with the investigation, the report said.
Armstrong is scheduled to appear in Wayne County District Court Jan. 20 on the new charges, and will be in court again Jan. 21 and 26 for pending traffic violations and other drugs and weapons charges. Ms. King's court date has been set for Jan. 20.
