The Goldsboro Police Department apprehended a fugitive Monday who was wanted in Washington, D.C., for assault with a deadly weapon.
David Lee Williams, 45, was being held Monday in the Wayne County Jail under $100,000 bond.
Williams was discovered when officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at 513 N. Kornegay St. at about 1:30 a.m.
After checking his identification, officers contacted the Washington Metro Police Department and determined Williams had an outstanding warrant.
