Firefighters remove the window and cut away the seat belt of a man trapped in an overturned Ford Ranger this morning at the intersection of New Hope and New Hare roads. The driver was not identified by press time.
An unidentified man was pulled from the wreckage of an overturned Ford Ranger by firefighters this morning after his truck ran off the road and flipped into a ditch off New Hope Road.
The Goldsboro Fire Department responded along with the Goldsboro Police Department and Wayne County EMS.
"Firefighters took out the window and then cut the seat belt. The victim crawled out on his own -- said he was fine," acting Assistant Fire Chief John Gillis said.
No cause has yet been determined.
"He was lucky, very lucky," Gillis said.
