Greene County Sheriff's Office investigators have charged two men from Goldsboro in connection with a murder dating back to April. Another Goldsboro man remains on the wanted list, as does a suspect from Snow Hill.
All four of the men were sought in connection with the April 24 murder of Linwood Jones, 49, who was shot and killed that night outside his Hookerton residence.
Greene County Sheriff Lemmie Smith said his investigators still have not determined what led to the shooting.
Investigators first identified Derejay Williams Speede, 17, of Goldsboro, as a suspect. Speede, already in the Wayne County Jail at the time on armed robbery charges, was transferred to the Greene County Jail and charged with murder.
"Throughout the investigation, we identified three more suspects," Smith said.
On June 26, Jeremy M. Hinnant, 20, of Goldsboro, also was charged with the murder and placed in the Greene County Jail. Both men are held being without bond.
A third Goldsboro man, Daquan Alganon Hines, 20, along with Terrance Melton of Snow Hill are both wanted in connection with the killing.
"We are looking for them. We went by their parents' homes last night trying to find them. If anybody knows where they are, please call the sheriff's office," Smith said.
