Kinston man is facing drug charges after stop

A Kinston man faces drug charges in Wayne County following a traffic stop Monday.
Braxton Hunter Spence, 20, of 3536 En Dickerson Road in Kinston, is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and possession of heroin.
He was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $4,000 secured bond.
Wayne County Sheriff's Office Patrol deputies stopped Spence's car for improper registration, according to a press release.
The deputy became suspicious and called for a K-9 unit.
The K-9 officer, Nox, and her handler, Deputy Dan Truhan, arrived on scene and searched the vehicle.
Inside the car were meth and heroin.
Deputies took Spence into custody and transported him to the Wayne County Magistrate's Office.
