Lawmen arrest woman for meth

A Newton Grove woman is charged with seven counts of possession and distribution of a methamphetamine precursor, according to a press release issued today by the Goldsboro/Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force.
Wanda Larue Long, 31, 3974 Alex Benton Road, is currently in the Wayne County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
The drug task force, in a combined effort with the SBI, is engaged in an ongoing investigation into the production and distribution of methamphetamine in Goldsboro and Wayne County, according to the press release.
Throughout the course of the investigation, it was determined Ms. Long has been purchasing pseudoephedrine to be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, the release said.
Ms. Long is scheduled to appear in Wayne County District Court April 30.
