Goldsboro police continue to search for the second man identified as a suspect in Monday's armed robbery of the McDonald's at 1501 U.S. Highway 70.
Joseph Simms, 25, 151 Wharton Drive, should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
Police already have one man, William Earl Warren Jr., 25, 315 E. Walnut St., in custody on charges of first-degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of stolen goods, and possession of a stolen firearm by a convicted felon. He is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $255,000 secured bond.
Investigators have yet to identify a third man witnesses said acted as a lookout.
According to the press release issued by police Monday, Simms and Warren climbed through the drive-thru window of the fast-food restaurant just after 1 a.m. and robbed the store at gunpoint. Money was taken from cash registers as well as the safe, and a manager was pistol-whipped.
Once police arrived on scene, a vehicle description was obtained and a traffic stop conducted a short time later by deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office resulted in Warren's arrest.
Money and a handgun were also seized.
