Tamiyha Ingram, 4, signs a card for a soldier, with the help of her babysitter, Nina Willis, on Friday at North Carolina Community Federal Credit Union on Ash Street. The card will be sent to one of the many troops serving around the world as part of the Red Cross Holiday Mail for the Heroes campaign. Ms. Willis, who is retired from the U.S. Army, received cards like the one that she signed Friday when she was serving in operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. "They kept us going," she said. NCCFCU will be collecting the cards through Dec. 5.
