These are just some of the items for sale at the Arts Council of Wayne County Holiday Art Market, which opens Thursday night at 102 N. John St.
If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind Christmas present this year or just want something for yourself, the Holiday Art Market is sure to have it.
It's a version of the Arts Council of Wayne County's year-round Art Market, but features Christmas items and items that would be good Christmas gifts.
There will be such things as ornaments, stocking stuffers, holiday-themed paintings, handknit mittens and scarves, jewelry, pottery, textiles, bookmarks, birdhouses, garden pieces made of copper, clutches, handbags, wood turnings and more.
"Just about everything will have a holiday theme," gallery director Erin Alemdar said. "Other items might just be something people will want to buy for the holidays."
The advantage of shopping at the Holiday Art Market is that you won't have to worry about the person you're buying for already having that item because everything is one of a kind.
There will be an opening party for the Holiday Art Market from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday with hot mulled cider, cookies and music. That will be the first time that items in the Holiday Art Market will be for sale, so early birds will have first dibs on them.
The Holiday Art Market, located in the Arts Council building at 102 N. John St., will be open through 5 p.m. Dec. 23. Days and hours will be Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Payment can be in the form of cash, check, debit card or all credit cards except American Express.
