Man, 24, charged with sex offense

A 24-year-old Goldsboro man arrested Wednesday afternoon by the Goldsboro Police Department faces felony charges in connection with an incident involving an 11-year-old.
Deandra Rashawn Williams, of 410 E. Spruce St., is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond and faces charges of indecent liberties with a minor.
The victim, who is related to Williams, lived in a home with him at the time of the alleged incident, police said.
Goldsboro Police Department's Housing Unit officers arrested Williams Wednesday afternoon after an investigation into allegations made earlier that morning.
He is scheduled to appear in Wayne County District Court today.
