Investigators with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office have one suspect in custody after two men allegedly broke into and fired shots inside a Dudley home before 11 p.m. Thursday.
Tommy Levar Rivers, 32, 142 Alder Lane, was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond on charges of first-degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon and larceny. All three are felony charges.
"Whether he was the one that fired the shots or not, both (suspects) would be charged as if each one had done it," Maj. Tom Effler said.
Charges related to the actual firing of the weapon are pending.
Deputies were called to 102 Running Deer Circle to investigate reports of a break-in.
Once on scene they were told two men forced their way into the home and fired two shots at the occupants. No one was injured, and the suspects fled.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.
