Single-vehicle accident

Firefighters from Belfast, Patetown and Goldsboro fire departments responded to a single-vehicle accident on U.S. 117 North near Airport Road at about 8 a.m. Sunday. The driver, Ralph Eugene Myers, 44, 909 S. Chestnut St., was trapped in his vehicle after it flipped several times before coming to rest upside down in a field near Green Street. State Highway Patrol Trooper J.S. Smith said charges were pending at the time of the accident.
