The Goldsboro Police Department's Selective Enforcement Unit arrested a man wanted on murder charges issued out of Orange County, Fla., Thursday.
Daniel Craven Jr., 27, 726 Annabelle St., was arrested in the 100 block of North Slocumb Street after 1:30 p.m. Thursday, according to a press release.
Craven, who recently had his probation switched from Florida to North Carolina, had been residing in Goldsboro with a family member.
Goldsboro investigators were notified Thursday that the Orange County Sherriff's Office issued a warrant for Craven's arrest on first-degree murder charges stemming from a homicide that took place there in April 2011.
Craven was taken into custody and served a fugitive warrant at the Wayne County Magistrate's Office and held without bond.
He is scheduled for a first appearance in Wayne County Court Monday.
