On Feb. 6, an employee of the Friendly Check Cashing Store at 408 E. Ash St. reported that on Feb. 1, a black female came into the business and presented two checks totaling $12,564.
Several days later, it was discovered that the checks were fraudulent.
Following an investigation into the incident, Investigator Artie Patelos identified the female suspect and warrants were secured on Shaquwana Miranda Davis for obtaining property by false pretense and uttering a forged instrument.
