When Wayne County Public Schools resumed after the holiday break, students at Eastern Wayne and Norwayne middle schools returned to find brand-new classrooms. Construction and demolition projects begun in September 2011 were done simultaneously at the two schools as part of a $16 million project. The next step at Eastern Wayne will be construction of the school's parking lot, which is projected to be complete by February.
