Elwin Green examines the details of a wood carving of a red-tailed hawk, which took him more than 200 hours to complete, during a session of the Neuse River Wood Carvers Club held at the Senior House next to the Herman Park Center. Green, who is the club instructor, started woodworking at age 5. The club meets every Monday from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
