A local attorney will face drug charges.
Officers with the Goldsboro and Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force arrested Ada L. Mason, 42, Thursday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
Ms. Mason, who was one of three people arrested, also will face charges of maintaining a vehicle for the purposes of controlled substances and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, which refers to prescription narcotics. She was placed in Wayne County Jail under a $4,500 secured bond.
The Drug Task Force received information of drug-related activity near 1447 Falling Creek Church Road. A search warrant was applied for and secured.
The occupant of that residence, George Blake Grantham, 37, was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine and is being held under a $2,000 unsecured bond.
Elizabeth Pennington Parker, 42, was cited for posession of drug paraphernalia and released.
Also arrested was Theresa Louroth Denning, 38, 3200 Stephens Mill Road, who was also in possession of drug paraphernalia, but also was in violation of her probation. She was held without bond.
