Man arrested for murder

Wayne County Sheriff's deputies arrested a suspect today in connection with the murder of Uber Ortiz Salas, 23, on Sept. 1.
Giovanny Santos Rodriguez, 17, 210 Glen St., Mount Olive, is charged with murder and discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling.
Salas was found shot at 130 White Dogwood Lane, Goldsboro, at about 2 a.m. Sept. 1. He was pronounced dead at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
