Rabee Fadel, 8, Abdul Fadel, 12, Marilyn Weeks and Ian Merritt, 4, were writing on the street Sunday afternoon in Herman Park. The high temperature kept many people inside over the weekend but some took advantage of the Sunday in the Park event.
Multiple vendors selling handmade jewelry, entertainers, the Arts Council of Wayne County and farmers selling their fresh fruit and vegetables withstood the 100-degree heat Sunday for Goldsboro's Parks and Recreation Sunday in the Park event. Sunday in the Park is held every first Sunday of the month during the summer.
