Arrest made in shooting

The Goldsboro Police Department has made an arrest in connection with an early morning shooting June 10 that sent two local residents to the hospital.
Bobby Davis III, 20, of 195 Scott Drive, has been charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a weapon inside the city limits for his alleged role in the incident.
Michael Deshaun Sawyer, 20, and Christah Tanjere Battle, 17, were wounded when shots were fired at a graduation party being held at Party Central, located on Corporate Drive.
Ms. Battle was treated at Wayne Memorial Hospital and released and Sawyer underwent emergency surgery.
Davis is being held in Wayne County Jail under a $150,000 secured bond pending his first appearance in court today.
