A Goldsboro teenager was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder for what police allege is his role in the May 30 shooting that killed 23-year-old Delindao Alijuwon Miller.
Qua'Twon Shaquill Tyrek King, 17, of 209 Shaw Court, is being held without bail in the Wayne County Jail.
Miller's body was discovered near Franklin Baking Co., a facility located less than a mile from his home in the Westhaven Apartment housing community, shortly after officials responded to a 911 call concerning shots fired near the 600 block of West Holly Street.
Moments later, the young man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Goldsboro Police Department Sgt. Dwayne Dean said information gleaned from interviews conducted during the two-week investigation led to King's arrest -- but that while he was confident that law enforcement had apprehended the right person, the investigation will continue.
So he urged those with information about the shooting to cooperate with police -- to contact Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255 or his office at 919-580-4213.
