Chris Malpass, right, and The Malpass Brothers band perform Tuesday night at the Paramount Theatre. They were among the featured local performers at "Gala of Hope," a fundraiser to benefit Jake May, an Eastern Wayne High School senior battling leukemia. Organizer Whitney Grantham said $2,700 was presented to the May family to defray medical expenses, with donations still coming in.
