Youth writes community service grant

Zachary Brewer-Kirby, a member of the Goldsboro Mayor's Youth Council and youth leader at New St. Mary Church Ministries, was the principal author for a community service grant awarded to the church by the North Carolina Youth Council.
The grant brought $351.15 to the church to provide interactive and project-based activities for elderly clients residing in a nursing facility.
Zachary, 16, attends Wayne Country Day School. He is the son of Dr. Patricia Brewer.
