Police search
for armed robber
Goldsboro police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect responsible for robbing Murphy's Oil Company, a gas station located at 103 N.C. 581 N., with a shotgun about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Lindsay Thorton reported the incident to Goldsboro police.
Ms. Thorton told police that an unknown subject robbed the gas station at gunpoint.
The suspect fled in a late-model, blue Ford pickup truck. The suspect was described as a white male about 50 years old, about 5-feet-9 inches tall and around 200 pounds.

Property
damaged, stolen
Leslie Williams reported to Goldsboro police that property in her home, located in the 900 block of North Center Street, was damaged and stolen between Oct. 24 and Oct. 25. Ms. Williams reported that the electrical cords had been cut from her a number of elecrical items and that the stolen items include a toaster oven, silverware, tent poles, bike and carpet cleaner.
Break-ins
reported
*David Hinkley reported to Goldsboro police that the home of Barbara Hinkley, located in the 1700 block of Dogwood Street, was broken into, and items were stolen between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Entry to the home was made by breaking through a window in the rear of the home. The stolen items include three televisions, a computer and a stereo.
*Bernardine Grady reported to Goldsboro police that her home, located in the 1700 block of Dogwood Street was broken into, and items were stolen between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Entry to the home was made by the suspect(s) breaking through a widow in the rear of the home. The stolen items include two televisions, a cell phone and jewelry.
*Renee Bratcher reported to Goldsboro police that the home of Carolyn Davis, located in the 1300 block of Maple Street, was broken into, and items were stolen between Nov. 4 and Wednesday. Entry to the home was made by the suspect(s) using a pry tool. The stolen items include two televisions and a stereo.
*Steven Walker reported to Wayne County Sheriff's Office that items were stolen from his unsecured garage at his home in the 100 block of Halston Drive in Pikeville between Monday and Wednesday. The stolen property includes a compound bow, 12 aluminum arrows and a quiver.
*Stanley Overton reported to Wayne County Sheriff's Office that his unoccupied rental property, located in the 800 block of Sandhill Drive in Dudley, was broken into and items were stolen between Sunday and Wednesday. A back door to the house, which was secured with a deadbolt, was pried open. The stolen items include a $1,500 a/c coil, which was later recovered on the property.
The total in damages was reported at $2,000.
*John Ezzell reported to Wayne County Sheriff's Office that his home, located in the 100 block of Willams Road in Pikeville, was broken into and items were stolen Wednesday night. A window to the mobile home was broken by suspect(s) who also removed a TV, microwave oven, camera, DVD player, subwoofer and .44 revolver. The total value of the stolen goods was more than $7,000.
Theft
Edith Pulliam reported to Goldsboro police the theft of a storm drainage grate from the parking lot of Goldsboro Orthopedic, located at 2808 McLamb Drive, Wednesday afternoon. The value of the drainage grate was listed at $450.
