Police respond to afternoon shooting

Members of the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a reported shooting on Jefferson Street not far from Edgewood Community Development School at about 3:25 p.m. Monday -- one that landed two men and one woman in handcuffs and sent another man to Wayne Memorial Hospital with wounds presumably suffered in the incident. Before they cleared the scene, officers were seen photographing a gray Buick and several items, including a handgun and more than a half-dozen bags of what appeared to be marijuana.
