Larry Dale Holcombe, 41, and his wife, Tammy Alane Holcombe, 39, were arrested Tuesday by the Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Task Force on charges related to methamphetamine production.
Drug agents said the couple were producing the drug for the sale or distribution to others.
There were also items in the home that suggested personal use, agents added.
A call into Crime Stoppers, after the investigation began, assisted authorities in locating the duo.
The couple had abandoned their home and went into hiding on Eagle's Nest Road in Dudley, where they were eventually taken into custody by the Goldsboro Police Department's warrant division.
The couple had two teenage children who lived at home, agents said.
Mr. and Mrs. Holcombe were each charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a precursor chemical.
They are both currently being held at the Wayne County Jail under a $160,000 secured bond.
