Found unresponsive

Ronnie Humphrey, 55, E. Holly Street was pronounced dead by EMS after he being found unresponsive at his home.

No additional information was available.

Bomb threat

Goldsboro police, firefighters and EMS responded to a bomb threat at the Save More on East Ash Street.

A store employee called police and told them that a male had called the store and told him he was going to blow up the store.

The employee said the man said in a muffled voice that "you need to get out of the Save More because the bomb is going off in 15 minutes and the Safe More is going to be no more."

No bomb was found.

Downtown assault

Tommel Devon Hayes, 33, Prince Avenue, told Goldsboro police that he was at a downtown restaurant when a man punched him in the face breaking his jaw.

Hayes transported himself to the Wayne Memorial Hospital emergency department.

Thefts

*Hazel Mooes, 32, Beech Street reported to Goldsboro police a break-in and theft at her home. Taken were a 26-inch TV valued at $699, a Wii game console valued at $100, three Wii games valued at $100 and a PlayStation 2 game console valued at $100.

*Tony-Orlando Johnson, 24, Woodrow Street reported to Goldsboro police the theft of a $900 monitor and computer.

*Someone stole $2,075 in assorted tools from Wayne Roofing at Herman Place, according to Goldsboro police. The thief or thieves gained entry by cutting through a fence.

*Lakeesha M. Faircloth, 30, Greenleaf Street, reported to Goldsboro police the theft of a Wii game console valued at $225 and a $200 digital camera. Damages totaled $150 to glass in a door.

*Several items were stolen during a break-in at the home of Randale Cleveland Stewart, 30, Beech Street, according to Goldsboro police. Reported stolen were a 42-inch flat-screen TV valued at $1,000, Xbox game console valued at $200 and laptop computer valued at $300. Damages totaled $100 to a door glass.

*Janice Bernice Davis, 33, East New Hope Road, told Goldsboro police someone had broken into her car. Reported taken were two book bags valued at $90 and $25 respectively, glasses and case valued at $125 and $400 worth of classic books.

*Michael Brent Gurgainous, 40, Raper House Road, Newton Grove, reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies the theft of 25-horse power outboard motor valued at $500. Damages totaled $400 to a fence that cut in order to gain entry to the property.

*A $3,000 four-wheeler was reported stolen from the home of Steven Russell Davis, 52, Davis Mill Road, according to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies.

*Officials at the Nahunta ECA community building on Pikeville-Princeton Road reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies the theft of 12 feet of one-half-inch copper valued at $300.

*Quincy Jamal Brown, 21, Blue Ridge Drive, Dudley, told Wayne County Sheriff's deputies someone had taken four tires and four rims valued at $2,000.

*The theft of $600 from the Old Country store on U.S. 70 East was reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies.
